  • Search for coupon codes before online purchases

I was reminded last night of the value in taking a moment to search for coupon codes before making online purchases.

My daughter is home on break and asked if we could go to the aquarium this week. We decided we'd go today since I have a short day at work. My wife checked on tickets yesterday and they are $26/person but she didn't actually order them.

Last night, I went online to get the tickets. I didn't know the URL for the aquarium so I Googled it. In additon to their site, several coupon site links came up. I clicked on one of them and sure enough, found a discount code to get tickets for $17 each instead of $26. So we saved $9/person plus tax, over $30 less just by punching in a code.

Before you buy anything online, search "name of company promo code" and see what pops up. You may be surprised and be able to save some money or get free shipping or some other bonus offer.

Sites like retailmenot usually has some sort of coupon code for just about everything. I always use it when I book hotels through orbitz...theres always an orbitz coupon.

When we were in Monterrey CA last year, we went to the aquarium there. Since I was on vacation I didnt have much time to search for ticket deals. I did notice on craigslist that people were selling aquarium tickets at a steep discount. Also worth checking out. Thats an expensive aquarium but really really nice.

Online coupon codes helps you save a great deal of your money. And the best part of coupon codes are that they can be redeemed and when required and if you don't want to buy the product instantly.

I have no idea what you're trying to say.

I ordered something from Kohl's last week since I couldn't get it in either of the two stores here. I had a 20% coupon I was going to use, but did a search and found a 30% coupon. It does always pay to look EVERYTIME for discounts.

I always take the extra minute to look up coupon codes and more often than not, I find something that saves me money. Free shipping or $5. Not much, but every little bit helps when controlling our family's costs.

Absolutely! We do this all the time for orders and it has panned out probably 1/3 of the time.

I ALWAYS search online for a coupon code before buying. 99% of time I find something, 5% off, free shipping, something that ends up saving me money. It takes maybe a minute or two. Complete no-brainer to take a quick check for a code.

                      Don't forget cash back

I like the website cashbackholic.com for comparing cash back deals. My favorite is ShopatHome.com because of their rate guarantee for the major cash back companies and the number of coupon deals they track for each vendor. Many times i have been able to find BOTH a coupon and a cash back deal which I could use at the same time!

                        I just did this again.

Went online to buy DD a new suitcase at Macy's.

First, I bought an electronic gift card at cardpool.com and saved $38 doing that.

Then I found a promo code at retailmenot.com that saved me another $28 on the purchase.

So I spent $66 less than someone who just walked into the store and bought the same suitcase. That's a pretty good chunk of change.

Someone has already alluded to it, but this needs to be re-inforced here.

                          It's life changing.

Yes, the chrome extension is called "Honey" or possibly "Get Honey", (can't recall I installed a few months ago).

                          So SO SO good.

Essentially, after installing this app to your chrome browser, it will activate itself when you arrive at nearly any checkout on the internet. It won't always find a coupon to apply, but often it will!

I bought a scarf for my wife the other day - was happy to pay $19.95 for it as advertised on the site. Honey applied a TWO coupons, and the scarf cost me $7.95.

I bought a domain about 3 weeks ago - the $17 special price went down to 0.99c! with the 5 coupons it applied.

Not affiliated at all with Honey, but it is freakin' awesome.

First time I have heard about "Honey". Love a good discount so just installed.
                              Thanks.
