Hotel expenses

In two weeks my Husband and I will travel with a single person. What I need input on is how to split the Hotel bill fairly. We will all stay in the same room, there will be two double beds in the room. My Husband say we do a 50/50 split, I'm leaning toward a split of 1/3 each. Your input will be much appreciated!

In my mind either would be fair BUT you will be 3 using the coffee pot, bathroom time, towels....So I would suggest dividing in thirds as most fair. After all I espect that is how you will handle resturaunt bills unless only 1 person WAAAY more expensivly orders ($ steak, appetiser & desert...)or drinks alcohol.

Agreed with marvholly.... Split it 3 ways. Sure, you two are only using one bed, but everything else (space, shower, etc.) is being shared between the 3 of you.

Yep, split it 1/3. Theres a time to be frugal...this isnt one of them.

We travel with a family member often. We split everything in thirds.

It seems kind of odd if you guys are a couple and and this person is not part of your relationship. Why don't you just get separate rooms? (money be damned)

I think hotel expenses should be splited on 3 parts, because you 3 people use all the things in a room that will be unfair to split expenses on 2.
