How many televisions; how much money

55 LED in the living hooked up to a PS3 for movies/games.

22 inch in the bedroom...a little small but will upgrade once we move in September.

They are so cheap these days - you can always get a nice deal on a TV

I got two TV at home, one in bedroom and other one in lounge. Mostly lounge TV is used at home.

We have two flat screen plasma TVs, 42 and 50 inch I think. One in the living room upstairs and one in the basement downstairs. Both purchased new, but at cost from my brother in law you is a supplier. We rarely use the smaller tv in the basement, likely because we have so many other ways to watch content. My husband wants to move the smaller one to our bedroom, but I refuse!!

Funny this question should pop up because I JUST bought myself a TV.

Currently, I only have one for the family room. It's a 40 inch I bought during Black Friday years back for less than $400.

Although I admit I do not need a second TV, I've been wanting one for a while, just for myself, which will also double as a computer monitor upgrade. It's a 32 inch that I found on Amazon for about $240, but has all the specs that I want and with good reviews.

So, total, I've spent $650 over the years, and assuming both units hold up, I don't intend to upgrade anymore.

I would consider myself as reasonably tech savvy. However, curved TV, stereoscopic 3D, and even 4k (including 4K 3D, and even 8K) are just gimmicks to me. Ok, actually 4k looks amazing, but the tech involved (HDMI 2.0 to fiber optic broadband for streaming to just having 4k content) just isn't quite here yet, and the hardware is currently very costly anyway.

However, if you are content with 1080p at 60hz like me, it's amazingly affordable right now. That's why I've finally decided to get a second TV now, that once again, also doubles as my computer monitor upgrade.

We have three TVs x $1,000. All 50", I believe.

Wouldn't have so many but one bit the dust and we moved it to another room while we figured out what to do with it. It seems to be working now so have an old roku and some of our game systems hooked up to it. Same kind of thing with the 50" in our bedroom (it has some issues that my videophile hubby is really picky about. But I am fine with it, so it lives in the bedroom). Otherwise we'd probably have one $1,000 TV and something inexpensive in the bedroom. Not overly impressed with the longevity and quality of the HDs. Hoping the newest one will last more than a few years without any problems.

We also have a movie theater in our house.

Though this is my hubby's one splurge and his hobby I don't think my spouse has ever been in much of an upgrade mode when it comes to TVs. The only exception is that HDTVs were $10,000-ish when we first married and so we did buy a very nice non-HDTV to hold us over until the HD prices came down. I think my spouse would be happy with our current TV for several decades.

I have 2:

- A 46" LCD that's in the living room. It's hooked up to my xbox 360, bluray player, and fios tv. I paid I think $900 or so for it about 4 years ago.

- A 32" LCD that's in my bedroom. It's also hooked up to xbox 360, bluray, and fios tv. My gf brought this TV in with her when she moved in with me, so I have no idea how much she paid.

2 TV's works out well for us, since my gf and I watch different shows at the same times.

Just one LCD 42" in the living room. Paid around $300 for it new. No cable TV. $7.99 Netflix.

8 TVs. 70", 65", 2x42", 4x32". Regularly use 4. The other 4 are now just sitting there. Maybe $4,000 total spent.

Zero. Don't have a tv. I do watch videos/amazon prime on my computer.

I think we have seven, and they all get used. (One not quite as often as the rest.)

Family room - 46" flat screen that we bought 3-4 years ago; it was our Christmas present to each other, plus we got $400 toward it as a gift from my mom. So we probably paid $500, but $250 or so would have been spent on other stuff.

Bedroom - 42" flat screen that we inherited from my MIL. $0

Kitchen - 21" flat screen that we got from credit card rewards. $0

Guest bedroom - 20" CRT that we got from my mom's work when they upgraded (they provide short-term housing); this one is least used as we don't have overnight guests often, but it's still used when hubs is putting his clothes away (his closet is in that room), or if one of is is sick/post-surgery and the other camps out in the guest room: $50

Office - tiny little CRT that was a gift when I went to college. $0 (and 26 years old!)

Bike room - CRT TV/DVD combo that I think was a Christmas present 10 years ago or so, hubby uses it when he's working on his bikes or riding on the trainer inside (pretty much daily): $0

Critter room - CRT TV and I can't remember where we got it, if we paid for it, it wouldn't have been too much: say $125


So, total TV investment is less than $100 per TV. Not too bad, considering a) how long some of them have lasted and b) the fact that except the bedrooms, they all are used daily.

I am Mr. Wasteful when it comes to TVs.

1. Pioneer Kuro 8 series 60inch: paid 4699 in 2007
2. Pioneer Kuro 9 series 50 inch: paid 2499 in 2009
3. Vizio 55inch LED M3D series: Paid 849
4. 135 inch projection. 400 for screen, 2500 for the 3d 1080p Epson Projector
5. Arcade machine with a CRT disply 27 inch, 699 for just the screen

Yes, I have like 4 TVs and I live with my wife only..lol
Now I'm eyeing those 4k Tvs..because I'm a gadget nut.

Zero TVs. I honestly don't know when we'd find the time to watch TV. After dinner we are usually doing outside activities till bedtime & if we stay up late then we read books.
