Your install company will be local to where you are. Look up HVAC contractors in yellow pages or talk to friends/coworkers who might have had heating/cooling work done and see who they used.

Your HVAC contractor can probably order any brand of furnace depending on your application (propane, natural gas, electric, etc). Have them write up a quote for install. You should probably get multiple bids and also do some reading online (and price checking) on the furnace model they are trying to sell you.

If you're running propane or natural gas and have not had a high-efficiency furnace installed before (most older furnaces are 80% AFE on the low end, up to low 90's AFE on the high end), as I understand, the venting requirements are different and will likely require sheetmetal and ducting re-work from the furnace up through the roof. That will be an additional cost.

Also weigh your options against having a geothermal heat pump installed. The equipment cost will be much greater, but the energy savings are extremely high and could pay off if you intend to stay for a while. With a geothermal heat pump, in the summer you can reverse it and it becomes a very very efficient air conditioner.
    History will judge the complicit.

The most efficient heat source is natural gas. As long as you have tight ductwork and a good heat exchanger, you'll have an efficient system. Unlike air conditioners, there's not a huge difference between the different heaters, after you account for the "fuel" it uses. Electricity is inefficient. Heating oil is fairly efficient. Gas is over 95% efficient. I think it's in the 98% range, if I remember correctly.

Now, if you want to get fancy, a floor heating system is less efficient than gas, but it is cheaper to operate because of the fact it pretty much just heats what you need heated, where gas heats everything. Also, geothermal energy is very expensive to install, but costs very, very little to use. If you are in a house you plan to stay in for 20 years, then geothermal is the best alternative.

          So, what's your situation?

I wish I would have a wood stove. We gather a lot of free wood and scraps. And I hate to pay for gas and electric. Our fireplace is not very efficient.
