My understanding is that it is dried potato flakes, reconstituted with a few other ingredients, like sugar, and shaped so that they all match in size, and then fried, used to be in lard, but now I guess beef fat......

If you Google, you'll find links to an article showing that their fries contain 17 ingredients. One would expect 3: potatoes, oil, and salt. I searched at snopes.com and couldn't find any mention of it so it seems to be true. I don't believe they are reconstituted though. I'm pretty sure they are real potatoes.

I'm really not into fries as well , It is just an option when there's nothing else to eat , especially when I'm in hurry .
