Starbucks $150 Cup

And you thought that the daily cup of coffee was expensive -- they are coming out with a $150 Limited Edition Swarovski 12 ounce (not even a big one) Mug to put your coffee in.



How many of you here are planning on getting it?

I have to admit, I think that's a cute mug. I'm a sucker for sparkly things.

But darn, it doesn't match the rest of my china...

The sad part is that you know that since these are "limited editions" that they will all end up being bought up and people will even try to sell them for profits on eBay -- and probably get them. Then a year from now the prices will have crashed and you can pick them up for a few bucks at garage sales.

Somehow I doubt that a cup encrusted with Swarovski crystals will be yard sale merchandise in a year.

I think the cup is a neat idea and I'm sure it will sell well, but I happen to be a collector - not of this kind of stuff but I totally understand the collector mentality.

No, I don't plan to get one if for no other reason than I don't drink coffee.

What is the problem with selling on eBay for a profit?
