True. Since qmm bumped the thread I should be thankful it didn't turn into a stripper, prostitute, alcohol or Tijuana discussion.

Lol...or crypto...although that's probably my fault, I love talking about crypto.

Here I was trying to pass along something good and pass along some knowledge. Instead it's like a stray dog when you try to feed it some food it bites your hand. What an ingrate (lol).

QMM - well, I mean you're correct about the value of a sharp knife. As a hunter I can attest to this.

I bought a set of heavy duty stainless steel professional grade pans and I hate them. I was so disappointed. I cook quite a bit and these pans are hard to clean and don't cook any better than cheapie pans. I would agree though that professional quality knives are worth it, if and only if you keep them sharp. It is also probably true that unless you are a professional chef or a very serious amateur they are probably not worth the hassle. Good Luck
I echo your sentiments on heavy duty stainless steel frying pans. I bought a 9" and 13" sizes, both are very heavy and takes long to heat up and like you said it is hard to clean with the char getting stuck on the bottom having to use brillo scrubbers and I use sandpaper to sand off the stubborn pieces. Aluminum frying pans are better IMHO. Or non-stick but the chemicals I'm not too fond of which small amounts could get into the food.

                My thoughts:

                1. Cast iron is best for cooking while camping

                2. Always buy using a coupon or discount code, high end pans are no exception. GET DISCOUNTS ALWAYS.
