Who carries no cash?

I only pull a little cash when going on trips, but other than that I rarely have any. I carry on trips because of the dilemma we have had before where both our debit cards were compromised while on a trip. I had no credit cards to fall back on at that point. If it wasn't for the cash, we couldn't have made it to the next town with our bank to get temp debit cards(which they had just started offering a few weeks before this happened to us). I don't like to carry cash because I can't track it very easily. Because I do everything electronic, cash gets lost.

As for the Dave Ramsey "cash makes people hurt" motto he uses, it's exactly the opposite for me. Because of the pain from the credit card debt I had for a long time, I actually feel pain in my stomach when I use a credit card. It reminds me of what I went through, so it keeps me from using them wildly. To me, cash means free money. It isn't going to be traced(in my budget), so I do with it as I want. I do try to still be Froogle, but really...I don't feel anything when I spend it. lol Pain sets in when the cash is gone, and the card has to come out. Now I have to keep track of what I'm doing, and I see it pile up on the ledger.

In general, I never carry cash day to day.
