  • Plastic Jungle no longer buying gift cards

I've previously used and recommended Plastic Jungle as a place to sell unwanted gift cards. I just got an email from them that effective today, they are no longer doing that. Instead they are focusing on "working directly with our business partners" whatever that means.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

    Try Card Pool.

There is also one that is advertised on slickdeals quite a bit... raise.com I think it is. Slickdeals often has coupon codes to save if you spend $75 or more.

I think this news will make my son sad. He gets lots of gift cards through on line sources. He loves saving money even if a little bit. One of my Mother's Day presents from him was a partially used gift card to Joanne fabrics. I was scared it would be rejected, but it did work and I still have some on it.

There are still other sites that sell gift cards. Ebay is probably the biggest but there are more.

I know he uses several of them, but if I recall right Plastic Jungle was one of his favorites. He is always trying to get me to send away for discount CVS cards. Hard for him to understand that we are already dumping so much money into CVS almost weekly that sending more away to get some gift cards would be a big blip on our finances for a bit and to really make it worth while we would be sending for them all the time. I probably get enough discounts on my Bonus card there to make up for any discount I could get for buying them ahead of time. to me it is just a hassle I don't want to get into as I have enough trouble getting everything done that I need to. I do appreciate his concern though. He is my autistic son that has devoured my frugal living books over the years, and when an autistic person understands something they really understand it! He could probably teach classes on the subject.

              Gift Card Granny

Hi there. Just wanted to mention that unfortunately PlasticJungle is no longer in business. However, GiftCardgranny offers the ability to buy and sell discount gift cards from nearly all of the major exchange networks. Hopefully that helps users looking for discounted gift cards or looking to sell their unwanted gift cards.

I was worries that these websites would start to crumble. It's just too good to be true but I hope the others will last for a bit.
