I use my credit card for everything I possibly can but I refuse to pay for the privilege. If the cost isn't the same, I'll use cash or check to avoid the fee.
Normally the stations add 2-3% onto the price if you're paying by credit card but when Chase's card is offering 5% on gas purchases I'll use it and pay the higher price since I'd be getting back more than I'd be saving. The easiest thing of all is to deceive one's self; for what a man wishes, he generally believes to be true.

Theres no way the cc companies would extend enough credit to make a difference, that would be like 200k of unsecured credit, dont think my income is high enough for that. Lol
My combined credit limit on all of our cards is about 100K but we rarely charge more than about 4K in a month.Steve

I was in the camp for many years, after listening to DR, that didn't care about my credit score. I still don't but it's good to know it's good. I was actually nervous about it leading up to our home purchase last year, and it was a smile-inducing experience when the loan officer ran my numbers for the first time and told me that my credit score was in the 92nd percentile.

Got Credit Score?
The last I checked my credit score was 892 which is awesome! I always make sure I am making my payments before the actual due date. I pay things off very slowly so I can have it on my credit for a while which can be bad and good. It shows I am paying it off but not in a quick way though.
