I liked ebay a lot as a buyer, and was able to buy a few nice things including a home theater AVR. Some of their "ebay stores" are handy for bulk purchases.

However, I do not like selling there because of the limitations and costs involved.

Reading this, makes me even MORE reluctant to try selling on Ebay. I've been selling patterns and pattern books and crafty stuff on Etsy but I have a crochet kit that I CAN'T sell on Etsy because it's a handmade bag with commercial items in it. I was thinking about selling that on Ebay..maybe not?

I may try selling that on Ecrater instead and changing my Paypal address on Ebay to my not-the-business one and keep that for buying things only. If they're screwing sellers, it isn't a place I would want to sell unless it's a really expensive item. ^^

Do you know of any good sites for selling collectible items?
NOt for sure although I know there are collectible sellers on ecrater that are selling. You could check for that type of stuff and see who some of the sellers are. Once you have figured out the 'good' sellers, then look at their feedback and sales numbers to see if they are selling or just listing.

I may try selling that on Ecrater
I've been selling on ecrater for awhile and am happy there although I do have my toes in the water elsewhere. Google started changing their search results and as a result it seems that a lot of small sellers from many venues (including ecrater) aren't getting the visiblity they need and that we used to get. The important thing to remember about ecrater, other than them sending in a Google feed every few days, they don't do any promotion, that will be your job to find potential buyers and turn them into actual buyers.
