Sorry, I wasn't attacking your political beliefs. I totally agree that there are people who support him 110%, and those who oppose him 110%. Some of my closest friends are on the other side of the fence from where I sit. I just meant that sometimes it's hard to tell from an email or a post what someone means.

Hey I got you. Don't worry

What I really thought about the situation is that a lot of people want to impeach him because he always seem to respect the minority opinion.....However, if we want a president who always honor the majority opinion, we don't need a person to do that. We can replace Bush with a polling machine if that is all we need from the presidency.

I am such a political dope but I can't help it. What gal is going to be president? Surely you don't mean the lady who can't decide what state she lives in and lets her husband womanize on her with barely a hiccup?

I agree, although I think that respect should be given back

This is a savings advice forum. Lets keep it that way, eh?

I am not a Bush fan but I doubt highly he would be impeached
What people fail to realize is that the rich actually pays more in taxes than poor people..like my self I mean think about it

              Exactly.

I thank God that George Bush is our President.

I guess I don't see the connection between impeaching Bush and this comment.

Well for starters I firmly believe Bush has failed as a leader in many respects. "Irag, Katrina, North Korea, Mexican Border, etc..." However if the congress and senate decide to waste my tax money by spending months and months on wether or not they should impeach Bush like they wasted with Clinton I think they should all be fired and we should vote for people who would like to get some real work done. Bush would not be thrown out of office and even if he was by the time they did it his term would be over with. We have far more pressing national matters to address. For one I would like to see them work on Social Security or maybe some healthcare reform, a balanced budget would be nice.

I credit GWB for at least giving a shot at reforming social security. But they don't call SS the 3rd rail of politics for nothing.

This is a topic that is a third rail. There are those who support GW and those who hate him. Remember folks we are all in the same boat and we are all Americans. You don't have to like the man but you must respect the office.

Impeachment is a very serious act and unless he committed some greivous crime I think his term should be served out. The vitriol in the country today is very divisive. Republics can and do fall and it usually starts from within.

Our words and the desires they express should be tempered by a serious contemplation of what a fruition may bring. I impeach your guy you impeach mine and so on! When given the choice of Bush or Kerry I held my nose and voted Bush. Some choice!

We shall find a way to speak civilly or we will soon be rather uncivil to each other. The last time we were uncivil more than 600,000 died. Do we want to go there? Vote your issues and take your anger to the ballot box. Agree to disagree and be civil in your discourse. We must be Americans first and a hyphenated whatever last if at all!

Thank you and I'll now step off my soapbox!

                            Well said Priceplus!

I would love to have seen Al Gore when the Trade Center attacks happened. Oh the crying he would have done...why me, why me? Clinton gets to have sexual relations and I get f'd like this!

George Bush does not have the charisma of Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan and public opinion of him suffers because of it.

I applaud him for going into Iraq and ousting Sadaam. Sadaam thought nothing of killing thousands of people at a time or shooting a person in the head for voting against him. The people live like rats while Sadaam lives in billion dollars mansions.

What president could have reacted better to Katrina? How many thousands of square miles were affected? It was just one of those disasters you cannot be fully prepared for, much like the tsunami or large meteor. We can document procedures and reactions till we are blue in the face, but when they happen it will most certainly be chaos!

I would hate to see how different our country would be with Gore or Kerry as President!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get it; the response is "well said Priceplus" for asking us to be civil, followed by a not so civil comment.

If the idea is for us not to get into seriously sided politics, especially on a non-political forum, this comment is very unhelpful.

I don't mind paying taxes on my fair share of what I use the system for. However under Bush's tax code, wealth is taxed less than earnings (income from working). It should be the other way around. He gave his rich buddies tax breaks yet barely cares about the rest of us. And look at the national debt. When a Democrat was in office, we had a record surplus. Now we have a record deficit. Our tax dollars are being used to fund the (unjust) war in Iraq and pork barrell projects such as the "bridge to nowhere" And the "NAtional Security." There's a reason he did not win the states the most directly affected by 9/11.

As for the impeachment..... can someone please keep an intern under the desk of the oval office 24/7 so we can get on with it?
