I know enough to know I don't know enough about politics and most don't know that!

When it comes to the nation as a whole there is no win-win situation...period.

It's like the husband who helps with dishes, not matter how he does them the wife complains he didn't do it right.

I read the history of the great leaders who founded the nation and I look at them and ask myself where are those men today! But I know the answer, they won't make it a week in todays' politics. Few have the character of those men and if they do they get enough 'support' from middle america to make it. How sad....

I wonder what it would take for the US to live within it's means....they certainly take a fair chunck of my money!

I'm sorry, but right now I am sick to my stomach. My cousin (in Europe) just emailed me some pictures of the aftermath of the bombing in Lebanon. People, children blown to bits. Shreded meat. Human meat.

Just for comparison and contrast, there's another photo of the Isreali side. The photo shows Isreali air missiles being written up with various sentiments by young children before they are loaded!

As barbaric as this is, we Americans and the rest of the world NEED to see these photos.

This is way off-topic so we should probably take this offline. But let me pose this scenario... Let's say there's a terrorist organization in Mexico that regularly shoots missiles into our country, detonates bombs in our cities, and also kidnaps our troops and citizens and murders them. Meanwhile, the Mexican government doesn't do anything about this terrorist organization -- they simply let them set up shop in heavily-populated, residential areas. Diplomacy has been tried repeatedly but failed. So what would you do about it? Should we simply fold our arms and take the repeated terrorist attacks, or do we eliminate the threat for our security even though there will be some gruesome media attention as a result?

Of course not. I love him. I would quit my job and become a full-time supporter if there is ever going to be an impeachment attempt. I am sure there are others like me.

I have mixed feelings about him. I like the fact that he can be firm, almost to the point of being overly stubborn. We needed a President with spine to cope with 9/11. At the same time, I also can't agree with all of his decisions in that... I don't get the sense that he really thinks things through. Sort of, "I'm going to do whatever I feel is best, regardless of the cost." It's the latter part that bothers me.

I think the office of the president of the United States of America should always be treated with respect, regardless of who is the president! Let's get back to saving money!
