We will be renting our place out as of Jan. 1. When we sold/rented our other house on contract we had a lawyer draw everything up because it was kind of a unique situation and we had specific terms we wanted in place. For this rental though, its really general and we aren't asking anything specific of the renters or anything. Is there any reason not to just buy a generic state-specific agreement off of legalzoom or something similar and fill in our details?
I'm not opposed to hiring someone when it makes sense, but in this case I'm not sure it does. Any landlords done this?
