I like money as much as the next guy, but I never really understood $4k purses and stuff like that. I"d rather donate it to charity. lol. I am watching a netflix documentary called Happy. It's kind of interesting. Money doesn't mean as much as you would think it says. They show this guy who works on this rickshaw thing walking in barefeet pulling people down the street. He lives in this disgusting slum with no running water etc. but he was tested to be as happy as an average American. He talks about coming home to see his son and feeling rich.

I plan to do some teaching and work with kids for my own enjoyment later in life again.
I love being a parent. It has brought me so much joy. My other joy was teaching.

There are people that are wealthy to the point that they are able to do things that the 99% just can't do. Join an expensive country club, attend a classic car auction where the cars are selling for a million dollars or more, and attend political fund raisers where dinner is $50,000 a plate. But, for the "Millionare Next Door" types, they probably don't do things that are much different from what everyone else does. Drive a truck, shop at Walmart, drink cheap coffee, etc. While presenting yourself in a positive manner and looking neat and clean is important, it probably isn't a good indicator of one's net worth.

I agree. I really enjoyed the book " Stop Acting Rich". It made a big distinction between the glittering flashy rich and the rest.
