Just curious, but at what point is a title no longer valid? I mean, if for some reason you were to take a salvaged car (or any car really), strip it to the frame, and rebuild it with new parts, would it still maintain the same title? Or would it be re-titled as a "new" (different) car? Similar to how classic cars are often totally rebuilt... Certainly some of those cars were simply rescued from the scrap heap.

Yeah, there's no harm in buying a salvage car. Salvage is a title given by insurance companies. Insurance companies declare a vehicle a total loss when the cost of a car’s repair exceeds its value. The state motor vehicle agency then issues a salvage title once the car has been repaired.

When you find any salvage car for auction then better make sure you carry someone technical fellow along with you for a thorough inspection process.
