  • Has anyone tried SaveUp?

I read lifehacker pretty often and a month or so they wrote about this site called SaveUp where you can win prizes for saving.

SaveUp Encourages You to Save Money and Pay Down Debt with Chances for Big Prizes

I signed up when they wrote about it but only started poking around recently.

Just wondering if anyone on her uses it or better yet, if anyone on here has won anything...

I joined a few weeks ago. I "won" 5 credits in one instant contest. That's it.

Anyone else a little leery about providing access to bank accounts? I'll take the free points and plays, but I don't think I want to link my bank accounts, at least not my savings/loan accounts. I guess I"m not as worried about my credit card accounts if it were something like Upromise (which I use), but when they want you to provide your log in info....red flags pop up in my head!

I felt the same way about it too after signing up but I read up a bit more and I guess they use the same exact system as Mint.com to link up the bank accounts. they have more info on their security page about it: https://www.saveup.com/about/security
