I'm always looking for a deal but only if I need or really want it, so yes I always check the clearance rack, shelf, section, area or lot.Originally posted by ir_dizzle View Post... do you usually stop by the clearance rack/ section?"Those who can't remember the past are condemmed to repeat it".- George Santayana.

I check the sales rack, shelf or display if it has something on my 'buy' list. Since we as a family decided anything new that comes in demands something of similar size leaves...either trash, donate or sell we're mindful of new wants

Certainly. That's generally where the best deals are. I shop very little but when I do, I definitely take a peek at the clearance stuff. The selection is usually very limited, but every once in a while, I find something I'm looking for.Originally posted by ir_dizzle View Post... do you usually stop by the clearance rack/ section?Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

I also get the item I went for, but I still check to see if that item might be on the clearance rack. If I go in for a pair of black slacks, for example, I look to see if there are any marked down. Or if I'm buying sneakers, I always go straight to the clearance rack first. If I can find something I like there, why not?Originally posted by greenskeeper View Postnope. pick up the item I came for and then get the hell home.Steve

I always check the bargin bin/clearance section at the grocery store since I can modify my meals to incorporate what is on sale. If I go to Target or Walmart, I try to stay away from those sections unless there is something specific I need. Otherwise I just end up with a bunch of stuff I don't need, but it happened to be on sale!
