iPhones start at $49. Not really that pricey.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

You are right, they can be quite reasonable if signing a new contract. Just watch out if you have to replace the iphone, that can be very expensive, especially for the newest model.

If you ever need to replace one, check the resale market as well as refurbs.

Agreed. There is no "perfect" phone. At the end of the day it all comes down to preference.

That reminds of a conservation I had with my co-worker last week on his iphone 4 and my Inspire. He's a developer and admitted to wanting Droid, but loved the fact how simple and user friendly it was. If he ever had to swap phones, or give to his wife for some reason, she'd have no problems using (since she has the same one). My droid was a learning curve compared to previous blackberry and iphones, but I simply prefer over the little hardware changes compared to Apple's simple design. Both types have their pros and cons.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

iPhone4 hands down. The retina display is amazing and its a feeling of pride owning an iphone.Galaxy from Samsung is a good one,but some of my friends who bought this phone reported some problems with the antenna and software. And I dont think price difference is signficant.

The main reason I prefer Android to Apple's "iOS" is because Android offers much more in the multitasking department. During the course of my average day, I need to run a variety of apps at the same time--and also the ability to switch between them without closing one app, to get to the other. iOS is absolutely terrible with multitasking. If you want to switch apps, you have to close the app you're using, to get to a different app...very inconvenient!!

Another reason to go with an Android device is that there are TONS OF PHONES to choose from. If you want an iPhone... that phone is your only choice. Android comes on a variety of manufacturer's phones. And all of the phones have different features, sizes, styles, etc.. For example, I much prefer using a physical keyboard to using an onscreen keyboard because I find I can type muuuch faster. But there are no iPhones that offer physical keyboards so if you want a physical keyboard using iOS, you are SOL!
