I would definitely go the Audi route, but that's my personal preference. I'd say A8. Excellent vehicle.

If I were looking to do something this silly, I'd probably consider the Jaguar XKR.

I'm not a fan of our beemer. Had to put 700 into it within the first month we had it. Now I wonder what will come next.

I have 3 corvettes, one red, one yellow and one tu tone blue. I vote for the corvette. None of mine are convertibles but all have t tops should I desire to take the top off. The car I traded in on my2010 corvette was a 2004 corvette. They hold value pretty well.

I want this car. But at over $200k I would have to steal it.

I had 4 Corvettes back in my early 20's but I don't care for the new ones. I used to buy them at auctions and sell them for a profit.

Windcrasher, I think the Lotus Elise would be a fun little car in your price range, but at 2000 lbs you don't want to get into any accidents.

This 1961 California Spyder sold for $10 million! If it looks familiar its because it was the car in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

                    Update -

I've started getting cold feet over spending $70k on a toy. Especially when I started seriously looking at cars in that price range. The BMW's just didn't seem worth that much money to me when I got my hands one. So I'm going down-market a bit.

Looked at a Mustang GT Premium Convertible with the 5.0 V8. Seriously a nice car and high performance. Fully loaded about $40k. So I think this will do for what I want it for. Again, I could go with a GT500 for near $65k to $70k, but don't think it would be double the fun.

My Camaro SS will suffice for now as a serious performance car. It's wicked fast enough.

And yes, I'm thinking of selling one of my other cars....maybe.
