States I've lived in (in 23 years):
    Texas
    Georgia
    Arizona (two separate occassions)
    Kansas
    Japan
    South Korea
    Virginia
    Massachusetts
    New York
    Pennsylvania
    Florida

I've lived in all the above states, but I've moved residences many times. In college alone I've moved houses at least 5-6 times and each state I've lived in a different place.

Military families for the win! I also voted 15, but I think it's been more than that.

Not military just a mover in college.

      age 10 - moved homes
      16 - college MO, moved 2x
      17- college SD
      18- summered at home
      18- college SD
19- moved new dorm, summered new apartment
      20- moved out of dorms
then the next 2 years I lived in 4 places, then moved again another 2x till 2005, then moved to NE, rented then moved again.

17 places I can easily recall, likely more. I voted 15+ places and we're not done moving, I forsee another 2-3 moves. Sigh.

It used to be my life would fit in a couple of suitcases. Not anymore.

I answered earlier and said 8 but I reread the OP and saw that each change of address counted as a move. In that case, it is only 5 because my address didn't change for the 4 years of college even though I was in a different dorm room each year. So I voted 5 (hadn't voted before).

          * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
          * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
          * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Every time I changed addresses I moved all my stuff, so that's one and the same for me. Though I can scratch house sitting as a real move, because I didn't move any furniture that one time. The second I moved out I no longer had a room at my parent's house - I took all my stuff with me.

24 is not on the list. Does that mean I have to check "live in my car"?

9 moves were in childhood, the rest in adulthood. Hired a mover only once. DH is on notice that movers will be hired for all future moves.

I moved two times when I was studding, from Barcelona (Catalonia) to Paris, and from Paris to England. Then I started working in Amarillo, TX (imagine the cultural shock!). Finally, for work, we move from Amarillo to Houston were we lived in three different houses. Now we have been for seven years in our current house. We may move to a larger house in a few years, but I don't feel like moving anymore. I am happy with my house and love were I live. I may be getting older too....

0 to 4 - My parents lived a few different places when I was a baby. I don't know where or how many. I only know of two.

                      4 to 7 - Parents bought house.
7 to 17 - Second house that the parents owned
                      17 to 18 - lived with Grandma
                      18 to 19 - first apartment
                      19 to 29 - second apartment
29 to present - house that we bought

The next move will be my moving to an apartment by myself. Well, I hope any way.
