I really like the WC. It's a Tactical Supergrade Compact. Really expensive but it's like the finest gold in your hands. It's the centerpiece of my collection. My everyday carry is a Kimber Ultra CDP II in 9mm. The WC is too expensive and heavy to take along everyday.

An alternative to the WC that is a little more reasonable is the Nighthawk. I have a Nighthawk Heine PDP in 45 cal that is really nice and about 1K less. It's still not a WC but it's accurate and has a fantastic trigger. It's really worth looking at. I agree with you that WC is the pinnacle.

I'm not familiar with Norinco. I would assume they have a website? I'm going to take a peek.

I think Norinco is a arm supplier/importer of China. The stuffs they have are military grade and no nonsense. I believe Jim Wilson used Norinco's frame originally when he started out doing custom guns. Of course the supply has dried up and WC can afford to have their own machines to do the frame now. But WC is so expensive because of the quality of the work they put in and it is not Jim doing the work himself now due to the nature of business expansion. He still oversees the operation but he has enough trusted gunsmiths to no have to build them himself. I trust Jim's judgement because those OG WC with Norinco frame are still around and kicking tails. Norinco AKs are very tough as well. But Norinco is not the maker though, just a commie-owned-and-operated shop. People with Norinco 1911 hold on to them.

They do have one bad experience and that was with the M14 clone. However, it's the manufacture and they stopped that. Don't fall for any lower price Polytech/Norinco M14 deal.

I see no purpose of this thread other than to flaunt the fact that you are so wealthy you can keep $25K in cash sitting around your house to a forum full of people who are struggling to pay off debt and make ends meet. Either that or you are full of it.
tend to agree here. I have no issue keeping cash in my house. the one time I kept any significant amount was when we were saving for a home deposit and wanted to keep it liquid and out of general bank account. we were afraid it might get spent. that was only a few thousand! It is great to be rich but....

I always take cash when I grocery shop-it helps me stick to my menu and my budget. There's nothing like having to put things back because you don't have enough cash!

Boy, I like the way that sounds! I don't hear it very often.

But yes, I am a rich a-hole, at least how the government defines it. Comes from hard work, planning and self-control. I've had a mountain of debt at times, so I know what it's like.

BTW, some ATM's dispense 100's if you get $500. Sometimes it's a mix of bills. Sometimes I cash in 20's and sometimes I exchange them in stores. I like 100's best.
I don't keep much cash around, but my Stepfather is just like you. He always has wads of cash on him and stashed in a safe in his house. He says that he keeps the cash in the house for emergencies (storms, wars, complete breakdown of the banking system, insert conspiracy theory here.) The cash that he carries on him, he says, is in case he comes across a good deal. He believes cash is king when bargaining, and people will often come closer to his offering price when they see all those 100's. It works, cause he gets deals on stuff all the time. He is well off with no debt, so the cash that he keeps around is basically "fun money" so to speak. Inconsequential to his overal financial profile.
