    Polls generally have long hours, like 7am to 7pm. That covers most people. Everyone else can vote by absentee ballot if they know they won't be available during polling hours.

    We started voting by absentee ballot about 8 years ago because we always went on vacation this week as NJ schools are closed 3 out of 5 days (they call it New Jersey Week at Disney World). Even though we didn't go away last year or this year, we just kept getting the mail in ballots. It is much easier that way.

      I voted this afternoon after work. There was a line at my polling place when I arrived and the line was even longer when I left.

        I voted and got the cute sticker to say so. From the looks of things, we seem to have voted out computer voting in my ward. There were spots for about 20 (did not actually count) to use paper ballots and only three computers. Interesting, because it used to be only about six paper ballot spots compared to maybe 20 computers.
