Wow, not at all surprising. I actually found myself getting angry when I read that they asked for video games, especially given their situation. BTW who keeps the video games in the split? LOL.

They may be getting divorced, but are they separated???? Evidently, at least in Missouri, you qualify for more government aid if you are divorced. So around here, that is "the thing" to do...

In my day (I'm showing my age) if you got divorced within a year, you gave back the wedding gifts....guess that's not the case now.

I always try to give gifts that are practical, that they can actually use, and that will not be something they never use. I try to save the recipient money with the gift on something they might otherwise have to spend their own cash to buy.

What a surprise. Who would have thought that an unemployed woman and a guy who plays a lot of video games, both living in the woman's mother's house, with 2 young kids prior to marriage wouldn't be a recipe for a long and happy marriage.

Actually, it's the woman that plays more of the video games.

Funny...they didn't offer to return our gift either.
