I don't think I would want to accumulate stuff...
I would rather live a minimalist lifestyle... The older I get the more I realize that I want material things less and less.
When I went backpacking around Europe for 5 weeks I realized that the amount of things that you really need can be carried on your back... and I have been trying to live that lifestyle since then.
Made another trip to Goodwill today and got rid of a ton of stuff... hopefully 6 months from now I can get to the point where all of my worldly possessions fit inside my Acura Integra (except for my road bike and mountain bike which will be mounted outside on my bike rack).
