Between myself, family and friends, I can think of several that make money, or save money--esp if you then barter with your hobby.
    Bee Keeping (honey)
    gardening (food)
    chickens (eggs)
    fishing (meat)
    photography
    mechinacal work
sewing (I sew on patches for uniforms for a fee--not a lot, but about $200 extra a year)
    writing
    small engine repair
wood working. I have a friend who makes nice wooded pens/pencils/toys....
embroidory--wife of above friend does jackets, shirt, t towels, bath towels for order
    hatching & selling chicken eggs
    artwork
    jewerly making
    horses--boarding & giving lessons
    leatherwork
making baby blankets-knit or crochett for order
    baking
    cake decorating
    nursery/plants

Just curious. How much do you charge?

$3 per patch, but I discount $1 off if they do more than 2 patches on the same shirt. I do scouts, police, fire and military.

The dry cleaners around here charge $5 per patch.

There are a number of ways to make money online. some of them are really risky like they need you to pay some initial amount and as result if you get back the amount or the product equivalent to what you have input then its fie while in other case if you are fail to win the product online then you can do nothing instead of just repenting. My suggestion regarding making safe money online is to play at online auction websites especially penny bidding as these websites allow you to play without any initial payment so you have no risk of loosing anything.

I coach youth soccer and it's pretty much a hobby (coaching) for me. Although I do it on a volunteer basis, I've been offered paid positions with clubs so potentially, I could make money from it.

I buy older cars (mostly civics/integras for fuel efficenty) and work on (no bodywork though). Otherwise I get bored with the same car, and enjoy looking up parts, swap a motor, drive for a while and eventually sell. I look at my hobby, as a hobby first, but business close second. Or if I can buy something for $1500-2000, and hopefully make another 25-50% additional profit on top of what I've put into the car within 6-12 months, I can't complain.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

My Aunt Cathy started loves to bake and started doing it for her neighbors when her kids left for college. She makes the best brownies and cookies and has now become somewhat of a celebrity. She’s flooded with orders and even though she barely charges anything, she makes a tidy sum. Keeps her busy and keeps her bank account full and happy.
