I was wondering for those who have kids, did you/spouse choose to work because of finances required or medical insurance? And for those who chose to stay at home was it due to finances (Cost more to work), or was it because you wanted to and it would be more beneficial to have kept on working?
I just wondered what drove your choice of lifestyle? And how did you determine which decision?

(And if your first two weeks have been easy, you may be coasting on new baby adrenaline.) For the first year, expect your baby's schedule to change about every 3 months. You may or may not be able to work during naptime from 4 to 18 months -- if you have hard deadlines, make sure you have backup care in place. After that my experience has been that it is essential that you hire someone to be there when you work, or possibly to work late at night when the kiddo is in bed.
