I only use the car when necessary and have been managing fine on $25 every two weeks. I do have to go to the grocery in the car occasionally because I want more than I can comfortably carry home.

Thats awesome! Saves you money and you get the added bonus of free exercise!

I filled up this afternoon for $3.15/gallon. Only my second time ever filling up for $3+. Right now I'm still able to keep within my gas budget - but of course I have it padded. If gas keeps going up, then I'll probably be going on a lot less trips to see family in the area, as well as cutting out most of my weekend driving.

we are not driving our cars as much. i run errands on the way home from work. we will be keeping our cars forever (almost) so when they are paid off that will free up money ........and we will only pay cash from now on for car purchases. ****but one thing i definitely do is not let the gas prices get me down......i cant do anything about it being high but i can do something about it influencing my mood**********i look at it all as a game. i put on good music and sing and dance while i get gas.

also we do have snowmobiles and a boat and a big truck but we only use the big truck when needed to pull the snowmobliles and boat otherwise it sits. we have a little ranger truck that my husband drives and i have a subaru. we cut back else where in order to fund the gas needed for our recreation. because life needs to be fun, fun, fun.

Well, we filled up 3 vehicles this week to the tune of about $200. That hurts. I drive very little now, but my husband has two houses going and they are about 20 miles apart from each other.

We only own one car, but even public transportation is going up due to the budget crunches. We've had public trans doomsday here in Chicago so many times I've lost count. I'm hoping to get a teaching position closer to where my husband works and son goes to school so that perhaps we won't need to use our car like EVER! These gas prices are for the birds. Ima, $200 is crazy. It would cause me to cry

well we are driving less and since hubby has to drive 30 (total trip) to work i fully expect 4.00 a gallon by this summer! not that iam prepared tho!we have close enough grocery& drug stores and such in our area, and probally will walk a lot this summer we are a one car family so thats a plus running a car is so exspensive by the time you figure in insurance maitance and so on we will just have to figure it out from other areas
