  • Ignite/Stream

I am currently an Ignite associate and a Stream electric customer as well. I enjoy the potential the company has.many judge off of what they are told. However,if you do not work your worth, then of course, you limit your benefits financially. Thats anywhere. MLM or regular hourly jobs. Ignite is not like Amway or a pyramid scam. For everyone i know in this company;we all help eachother get as far as possible. (Relationships is what we build and how we grow). On my behalf,i can say ive received and continue to receive checks in the mail. Abundantly. As well as my husband(MD),son and my husbands best friend whom is a SD. People just need the right leaders and guided right.

    • Well I say its not a scam. I have a brother that has been selling this energy service for about 5 years and hes not doing too bad, cha ching if you know what I mean. Looks like the rates are hard to beat as well. I hope they have good service. I'm switching over from TXU to stream today.

I recently became an Ignite Associate after my brother showed me the information. How can anyone lose, the people you sign up save money and you get paid to help advertise and save them money. It is a win, win, situation.

        • Ignite is getting sued by some of their reps. Juan Ramon Torres, et al, vs SGE Management LLC, et al.

Torres' Amended Complaint filed in 06/2009 reads in part:

The Defendants have created, operated and maintained a pyramid and endless chain scheme. Specifically, the defendants induced Torres, Robison and others to invest in the "Ignite Services Program" ("Services Program") for $329.00 and purchase an "Ignite Homesite" web page for $29.00 a month for the right to recruit new individuals to do the same with false promises of enormous profits.

As is expected in any pyramid scheme, those at the very top make more and more money. For example, between July 2005 and June 2006, the highest paid Executive Director received $819,089.50. By July 2007 to June 2008, the highest paid Executive Director received $2,148,615.50, an increase of 262%. In contrast, between July 2005 and June 2006, the average Qualified Director received $460.31. By July 2007 to June 2008, the average Qualified Director received only $174.06. This is a decrease of 264%. Therefore, while those on the bottom of the Pyramid are progressively receiving less and less, those at the top, including the Presidential and Executive Defendants, are making excessive sums from the illegal Pyramid.

We signed up with Stream Energy and have been really happy with it. Our service did not change at all, but the bill is nearly 2/3 less than it was. Part of that has to do with the weather getting somewhat cooler, but even figuring that, it's MUCH cheaper.

            • I would love to further your knowledge on a business such as ignite energy. Since deregulation of energy in states such as Texas, Georgia, Maryland and even New York, people such as you and i are able to distribute energy to ourselves, friends, and family, and get paid to do so!

              • Ignite is only making money for the ones at the top!!

Don't be a sucker like a lot of us were, this is a no win situation EXCEPT for those nice, Christian???? people at the top, you know the ones everyone at these 'tent revivals' worship; the top money earners, Rob Snyder, Susan Fisher, Brian Lucia, the Coach and the cowboy..............REALLY they don't give a damn about you they just want you to recruit more desperate people who cannot afford it. That's the truth, it's just like Amway and yes, you can buy your way in by sponsoring people that is paying out of your own pocket I know an ex frient]\ that did that to the level of Sr. Director, what a joke she's spent more that what she will ever get back. It's called Fake It Til You Make It.

                • But I have a real problem with the whole idea of MLM, so I didn't pursue it.

                  • Right now, it is possible to become a customer if you live in the folloowing states: TX, PA, GA, and MD. Becoming a customer is quite simple and you may become a customer free of charge. Chances are that if you decide to switch your energy to Stream, you will find savings over a 12 month period. You have the option to have a fixed energy rate. With the fixed rate, you are locked into a year contract. Or, you can elect a variable rate, in which you have a month to month contract. When I became a customer of Stream, I choose the variable rate option because I didn’t feel comfortable locking into any contract. I loved the fact that the enrollment was very simple and it only took a couple of minutes. I had no issues at all with the company in any way. So, there is definately no Stream energy scam.

                    • The business part of Stream Energy, Ignite is a MLM and beware of this, $329.00 to sign up to sell their electricity, their rates are comparable to every other electric provider, it's a lose=lose proposition. It's a waste of your time in the long run.

                      • Who pays all these people to create accounts on here and post one standard message along the lines of "Ignite is a business offering electricity in the states of ..."

If they are real people, they are hurting their cause to try and "legitimize" (is that a word?) by acting as nothing more than spammers on this forum. If I was thinking about signing up (which i wasn't) before reading this thread with its "bot" like responses from new forum members who post and dash, it would have changed my mind and I would no longer wish to sign up.

                        • The distinguishing feature between MLM's and traditional business model is that the traditional business model is predicated on competitive pricing. That is multi level marketing products generally cost significantly more. If you find that the product that you are selling costs significantly more than similar products you should ask yourself, why would the average consumer chose to purchase 'my' product? In a down economy (any economy really), the only compelling reason is because they have a similar motivation as you - i.e. they are also members of the MLM. That is why you are 'encouraged' (forced) to continue to increase your down-line. And that is the flaw in the MLM argument. There are just not enough persons to support the remuneration of the up-line in a way that would provide each member with a reasonable salary and in a way that is sustainable - you eventually run out of people. (in the world!) Finally let me say that if you work hard at any other business, your chances of success are vastly increased.

I have a wonderful autistic son, Patrick and I became a Stream Energy Associate over 2 years ago. I have had 3 promotions, I am currently a Senior Director and I can only do this part time because i run a very busy home based Pet Grooming Business.. Stream Energy has been wonderful to me and my family. This is very SIMPLE: if you sign up customers who will save money on an energy bill they are alreday paying, you will get a commission from Ignite -the Sales department for Stream- it is that simple. There is absolutely No way to loose money if you are working with this company. The customer saves money on their monthly electric or natural gas bill, so they are happy, and you get a permanent residual monthly income everytime they pay their bill .In less than 2 years my son now has a Special ed trust fund where all my Stream energy residual income and commissions are on direct deposit. This allows our normal income to support our household BUT my son will now have a wonderful Trust Fund to depend on when he is older. HOW am I loosing money? HOW am I hurting anyone when our energy rates are cheaper and they save everyone money every month on a bill they have to pay anyway.

                            • Yes SMWARPIG63 keep believing in this "business". My research showed me that the vast majority of people will not make a living on this. But, hey, how lucky are you that you have to pay to keep a job? That $25 a month for the website is a goldmine to Ignite. There is also a third type person in the world. The one who can get a real job and be productive on a daily basis and, in turn, make good money and have great benefits.
