you must be kidding with the PETA list. many of PETA's claims simply don't stand up to close scrutiny. See 7 Thing you didn't know about PETA.
i've worked at two consumer product companies so far, it's confident that major companies don't test on animals. i suspect the reason that you don't use eye shadow, blush, or mascara should be extended to lipstick and foundation as well. they contain common ingredients that are animal-derived.
by no means i'm being critical, but i feel that many consumers are misguided.
