Fairy, can I drop off the blue 78 vette? It is the one that is going to have to go outside. My husband keeps his van outside. We have 2- 2 car garages, but one side has to be used for all my husband's tools, so we can only garage 3 cars.

      This thread needs more pictures.

      Here's my daily commuter:

      and here's my autocross toy:

and my old car: (that I sold to prepare myself to buy a house)

I'm sure I'll get another nice car someday, but not until I have my own garage to keep her in.

Re: What car do you drive now and what would you like to drive but can't afford now?

Totally happy with our cars - newest cars we ever had.

2005 Dodge Caravan - Love it.

Frankly we would consider a hybrid though if we had more cash. I Am not keen on the mileage.

I have generally driven 10-15 year-old cars my entire driving career - had my van about 9 months. Enjoying it but frankly I think my next car is going to be old. There is so much to be said for lower insurance and not worrying or caring if someone hits your car or something happens to it. My personal dream car is a 2000 Camaro - just not practical for now.

My dh has a 2000 Ford Escort with little miles on it. HE loves compact cars so keeps him happy. The gas mileage is phenomenal. Not planning to replace either car for a LONG time. I Am guessing when mine peters out I Will go back to sports cars and dh will get a compact hybrid when his peters out. If he is working significantly we can save the cash for a nice hybrid which I Would not feel as comfortable going used, why we have stayed away so far. Way out of our car budget for now since we only buy with cash.

IT is nice having both a family van and a super compact car for city driving and parking - best of both worlds.

if it weren't an obscene amount of cash, i'd love to have the electric sports car monkey mama posted in her blog. *drool*
I am saving my pennies for that one for sure - the Tesla was it??? My conundrum right now is I Want a sports car convertible and the gas mileage sucks on them all. About as bad as my van - egads.

I actually had a Mustang convertible 4-cylinder that got 30 mpg, they just don't make cars like that now - LOL. I keep looking at the 20mpg cars and cringing. But maybe ina few years when I actually can afford a 3rd car there will be some mpg improvements. They need to make more cars like that though - we all don't want speed - sometimes we just want to look cool but save our gas money -

My first car was a 1982 celica - it lasted about 18 years in my family. Nice car. I would get one again. Really hard to find used though - people don't sell them or something - LOL.

(Fellas that is the sell to your wife when wanting to buy an Evo or STI. 4 door, all wheel drive, a safe family vehicle!!

I currently drive a 96 Toyota Paseo. get about 30mpg
Wife Drives a 2000 Odyssey. It is our family van. About 20 MPG

If I could afford it, I would like the Accord Hybrid. I am an import man myself. Though that Chrysler 300c is quite nice. Rented on on a road trip once.

                I drive a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan.

I've driven everything imaginable starting with my 1969 VW Beetle(I was born in 1970 so it was made before I was even born!). I drove a pick up for a while(hated it), Jeep Cherokee, brand new 1999 Chevy Camero Z28, and 1998 Dodge Grand, among other various vehicles.

What would buy right now if I could??

A newer Dodge Grand Caravan(with Stow and Go)!! I've driven everything from compact cars to sports cars to pick up trucks to SUV's and I loved NONE of them as much as my Dodge Caravans!!

BTW, the only thing I don't like about my current Caravan? No CD player. I've never had one in any of my vehicles so I don't even own any CD's!LOL

I currently drive a "Golden Chariot" (see my blog) but I would really like to drive a Nimbus 2000.

We have a 1993 Ford Econoline conversion van and a 1995 Plymouth Voyager. Do these say family, or what?! We're driving them until they die. By then our kids will be on their own. Then my husband and I always dreamed of getting a VW camper van, traveling around in it. Corny, huh?

I drive a 1998 Toyota Camry. Can't say that I've got my eye on anything particular. Next car will probably be another Camry or possibly a Hyundai Sonata.

I have a 1999 Ford Escort that had to go to the shop today (it was smoking and an oil leak..... I am NOT looking forward to that bill)

My dream car is a Toyota Prius. I drive by every one of those cars green with envy. However it may be a little big (I like compact cars........ aside from occasionally driving my parents Subaru Forester, I've only driven compact cars).

I drive a 2004 infiniti fx35. (currently with >55,000 miles)My non-negotiable when we were looking for this was AWD. I have a 45 minute commute to work so comfort is key. It was more than I wanted to spend, but was / is worth it. I love getting into my car everyday.
DH drives a 2000 oldsmobile intrigue (with over 120,000 miles).
For fun, we still have "my single car". A 1991 mercury capri xr2 (approximately 180,000 miles). This is a convertible with a removable hard top for the winter. My 7 year old claimed this car for when she starts driving.

I wish I could get a Ford Mustang convertible...
