I drive a '01 Ford Focus. It was a gift. I absolutely love it...have only had minor problems, and I'm close to 80,000 miles.

I would like a Toyota Yaris, but I'm a few years away from thinking of a car.

I'm less infatuated with cars these days. I have a Prius now and am happy with it, along with a 1994 Miata that sits in the garage most days. I'm content with things the ways they are I'd like better mass transit options for traveling down to Orange County an LA County or up to the Bay area for my next mode of transportation.

I am totally happy with my car its a 2005 Nissan sentra bought new in 2005 its paid for looks nice good on gas

I paid more for my motorcycle than i did for my car ;-)

I must admit I did test drive a a ford mustang convertible the year I bought my Nissan, but there was no way I was cutting a check that large and I do not believe in financing cars LOL

I have a 2000 Ford Windstar - hate it, but it gets us around. A lot of little things have broken, like interior lights that won't go off, seatbelts that don't retract, doors that don't lock. I could care less about what I drive, so long as it's dependable. I wouldn't mind a newer car, probably another minivan, but it's not going to happen anytime soon. We paid cash for this one.
DH has a 2005 Nissan Sentra - it's been pretty good to us. He put almost 45k miles on it already with commuting to school. We just made our last payment on it this month so again, no new cars here for a long time.

I drive a 1997 Chevy Lumina. I want a silver BMW with soft leather interior and a sweet music system. BEEP, BEEP.

I drive a 2000 Ford Explorer, and my wife drives a 1997 Toyota Celica. Both have been paid off for years.

We will be getting her a new car at the end of this year. What I really would like to get her would be an Acura TL. That said, I will most likely either buy her a new or used Honda Accord, and finance it over 36 months. Once I get that paid off, my Explorer will be 11 year old, and it will be time to buy another car.

My Uncle did that, always rotated cars. Purchased one car, paid it off in 3-4 years, and then bought another one while keeping the paid off car for another 3-4 year. Always seemed to work well for him, and at worst he only had a single car payment. I plan on doing the same.

I drive a Ford mustang with over 100,000 miles on it. She's been around the block a few times. I honestly don't know what I want to get next. Here they steal Hondas and Acuras (My neighbor's got stolen out from under our window) for street racers I think. I hear they are great cars, though. DS's 1999 toyota still gets over 30 mpg. As for a dream car? Hmmmm......

I drive a 2005 Scion XB. Yep, the one that looks like a box on wheels. Great little car with lots of room when the back seats are down. Ideal for yard sale addicts like me. Also good on gas.
I really like the VW Passat staion wagon but it is out of my price range.

We previously only owned Fords, a Taurus, Sable, and 2 Explorers. However, we were unimpressed with the 05 line and purchased our first Toyotas. We bought an 05 4Runner and an 05 Sienna.

I drive my moms car. I had a Ford Ranger pickup but when the transmission went out I couldnt afford a new one so it just sat and sat and sat. It's gone to the junkyard now and I havent been able to get another vehicle for myself. Too many other things in life that I need right now. And who wants payments? Not me. I'll stick to moms car for now until she takes it away from me.

currently I drive a 1993 Geo Storm (no a/c, no cd) DH drives a 1998 toyota short bed pick up

Dream cars: DH wants a tricked out Dodge Ram with the second seat and all the bells and whistles, I would love a toyota spyder (for my race car days) and Toyota Avalon (for my more sedate days)...This is the "if we win the lottery list". In reality, we'll probably upgrade DH's truck in a year or two and get something this summer for a family car (2000-2002 Mazda Millenia) or something along those lines.

We have a 98 VW Golf with almost 145K on it and we're hoping to get something in a couple years that isn't so costly to repair!

I drive a 2004 corvette. It still looks brand new cause my dh washes it and waxes it all the time. I also have a 1978 corvette (bought new) and a 1933 ford victoria. My husband drives a 2001 dodge van for his work vehicle.
I feel sure we will get a new corvette for our next car and probably keep the ones we have. DH wants a yellow vette. I drive a red one. The old one is tu tone blue. Too many cars, not enough garages!

Re: What car do you drive now and what would you like to drive but can't afford now?

I currently drive a 2006 Ford Escape. So far I love it! It was not my choice but of my fiancé. He is a Ford Auto Technician and told me that was the best of all Ford to get right now. It’s just the perfect size a very small SUV). I need to get a 4 wheel drive because we live up in the mountains. It takes a good 35 minutes just going up the extreme curvy road. Must put vehicles at least in 2nd drive so you’re not braking all the way down the mountain. I have seen cars burst into flames because they were using the brakes all the way down. A hybrid would not be efficient on this since it’s not flat and the type of driving you do on this road would not put the hybrid in efficient mode so it’s pointless for us.

I am also 45 minutes away from food stores so I like to stock up every three weeks. The 98 firebird was not good for that. There is also room for future baby seats which will make this vehicle run long term. And again since it's a Ford, my soon to be hubby can repair anything and has all the tools for it.

Oh yeah… this Escape used to be a Rental vehicle, fiancé search it out and found it to be in excellent shape, so we got a good deal on it.
