                    "all the bills are paid, right? then why can't we spend it?"

                    *sigh* too many of these come up in coversations with friends, family, my spouse... it's frustrating...

                              Ive heard "blood from a stone" before.

                              Usually people dont give me excuses because I dont ask, but its normally along the lines: "I cant afford it"
