When it comes to being successful, productive and making more money, this quote helped me tremendously. I'm not sure who said it, but (s)he said it well!

It makes me very uncomfortable being in either situation, not necessarily for the amount, but for the effect defaulting can have on the relationship. It is hard to say no (that itself may affect a relationship) but it is harder having to remind the other party or ask forgiveness. At least borrowing from a bank removes the relationship factor.

I think it was Dave Ramsey who said that borrowing from family makes Thanksgiving dinner taste different.
