That's fantastic. I've tried to convince my Dad to quit. The health benefits, the monetary reasons, etc. Anyway, congrats to you!

I quit about 15 years ago and for the first few years, I put that money in a jar every single day. It really adds up.

$3 a day, that's more than we spend for food for each person in my family. I never tried to smoke, money and health reasons. My dh did when he was a teenager, and then quit at 16.

210? I'd say you saved much more than that - if you count future doctor and hospital bills when you may have gotten lung cancer or emphazema. (spelling) Congrats on quitting.

I too am saving cash hand over fist because I have been Mt. Dew free for more than 3 weeks now. Plus my waistline is shrinking!! Woohoo!

You did good ---which, of course, you know. I bet it wasn't easy either. Got plans for that extra $1095 per year? You did say $3 a day, right? Wow! One pack at a time doesn't sound like much, but $1095 is nothing to sneeze at! (Or to cough your lungs up for.)
