  • do you wear clothes with holes?

I will wear clothes that are worn out when I'm just bumming around the house, working in the yard, etc. Just yesterday, I was wearing a pair of pants with a big hole in one knee, but I wouldn't go out anywhere in them. As for underwear, nobody but me can see it so yes, I'll wear that as long as they aren't uncomfortable in any way.

Like DS, I do around the house.

My backyard neighbor always cuts the grass in a perferated Chicago Cubs shirt and I like to tease him that his shirt is a bad as his team. I also like the fact that he is a lawyer for a top Fortune 500 company and still cuts his own grass while wearing that ugly ass Cubs shirt

My wife teases me about some of my t-shirts because they are pretty much see through, but those are the most comfortable ones. I don't really care that some of them are well over 20 years old.

Hmm, it would be fun (in a good way) to see a picture of that, or least something similar

I do, but only when I'm home and usually working in the kitchen or in the garden.

Torn clothes are hip! You have to pay extra in store for that kind of thing sometimes. I definitely wear things until there is not much left of them

I'll wear clothes with holes in public if they're not in a noticeable spot. I'll patch/sew together everything else. Like others, I'll keep holy clothes a lot longer for around the house.

These day, the holes are worth more. Just ride the silly tide.

like most of the previous responders I will wear clothes in BAD condition on a totally at home day - cooking, cleaning, gardening..........

I will NOT wear that kind of thing out to even run to the gas station or nearby drug store.

I don't think it's a good idea wearing worn out clothes whether at home or outside. Looking good is good business whether within the home or outside.

Besides what if someone stumbles in on you when you are dressed like that?.

                          heck yeah

Small holes in socks and underwear, no problem. Until they bother me, I say use them up.

I usually donate shirts and pants once they become holy

Unless they are t-shirts, then they become a shop rag.

I'll usually make the effort to repair a damaged garment once, 2nd rip is usually time to pitch rather than toss to laundry. I'd see ripped underwear as uncomfortable. I have some pretty ugly stuff faded or bleached out for really dirty jobs, painting, stripping furniture, steaming under the car's hood etc. I need to look decent gardening as my neighbours can easily see the patio and balcony plantings. Some of them have Martha Stewart-like gardening togs.

Yes I do wear clothes with holes only at home but usually at the first sign of tear, I grabbed my scissors and needles/yarn and sew them. So it is still presentable and neat.
