Yes, Walmart and Target are flexible without a receipt, however I know Walmart limits "returns without receipt" to 2-3 times a year according to a friend. I've never returned without a receipt so I'm not sure. Most places will only return for the lowest sales price without receipt to avoid people returning goods and getting more than they paid for originally. Fair enough!

Yes, I have even returned items recently years after making the purchase! The stuff was unused, but just sat around my house until i realized one day i could get cash back for it. I did this with an unopened box of hair color at a health food store as well as a retractable clothes line at Home Depot.

I used to work at target and did back up for Customer service. Unfortunately like many things we had people that walk into the store, pick things up and then ask for no receipt returns alas "the many ruin everything for the few"
I am a bit annoyed though because I got a dvd from a trusting family member that gave me a gift receipt with my gift (I got 2 of the exact same) they scanned it and said it was already returned.
Total bs and they wouldn't do anything for me.

"What's Walmart's No Receipt returns policy?
Walmart's No Receipt policy applies to items returned in a store only. You have the option of a cash refund (for purchases under $25), a Gift Card for the amount of the purchase (for purchases over $25) or an even exchange for the product. We also follow any manufacturer's warranties. You can make up to three No Receipt returns within a 45 day period."

the store last night and asked.
Guess what - not a problem!

BigLots will refund your purchase price in full on a BigLots giftcard
I don't know if this is just for this time of year or always.
Don't know if there's a dollar amount limit (my returns came to $55).

Anyone else have a positive report like this at another store?
or know of other stores with easy return without receipt policies?
Would be nice to know which stores are lienent.
Ya, I bought an item and I lost the receipt.....I'm scared if they'll even let me return it!!! Does it really work?????????

Yes there are several retailers that will refund your money in the form of a gift card. As well, depending on how you paid, I've seen them be able to pull up your receipt on their computers.

A lot of decent companies i have come across don't always mind, infact you can return items if you can show a statement from the date that you bought the item. And they can see if it matches their records.
