I do that a lot, too. I have a pottery piece from when we were traveling around AZ that I planned on giving to my father. I need to find the card the person gave us explaining what her tribe was. He loves that kind of stuff. I tend to pick up stocking stuffers for my daughter that way, too.

So now I just have to buy 2 portable DVD players for 2 nieces and I'm done with the kids. I had originally bought other things for them but decided to hold those for their birthdays and give them the players. I have the ones I want picked out but I'm waiting closer to Christmas just because of the warranty. I also bought my nephew a Craftsman tool chest that is normally $60 and I got it for $30.

One good thing about buying early is never worrying about the hot toys. My Hatchimals were pre-ordered last month and I already have the Fingerlings. Thankful that my nieces are not into dolls because that Luvabella is both creepy and totally unavailable without paying a huge mark up on ebay.

I started shopping in September. I don't like waiting until the last minute, lol. So far, I haven't spent any money on gifts for my 4 daughters. I've been getting free stuff from Amazon just by playing a game on my phone. I have an album of the stuff I've gotten so far. I also have 4 more items on the way.

I'm excited about SIL's gift. I got her a tote for commuting, a lunch tote made out of old saris and I'm collecting other things to put in the tote that she would use on her commute. I'm just about done with her stocking, too. I like buying for her. Already gave my mom her gift because it was something she could use then. Started my brother. Have everyone else left to do.

I've started my "thinking about Christmas shopping."

I'm more than 1/2 way done with my Christmas shopping!! Lol! I basically only have the adult grab bag, 2 older nieces, my husband (if I get him anything) and something for my daughter.

Tickets for the Polar Express went on sale last month, so I decided to splurge for the upgraded seats and give them as Christmas gifts for the kids. I'm also paying for my parents and the their hotel room since it will be my mom's birthday, so two birds/one stone!

The Tramontina pots and pans set made in Brazil finally came back to Costco, so I ordered a set for my daughter. I'm a bit disappointed. They are noticeably thinner and feel different compared to the older pieces. Instead of 18/10, they only say that they are induction compatible. Now I'm glad that I didn't go buck wild and buy sets for the cottage and my nephew. Not sure if I will keep these for Christmas or try finding something else. But I suppose everything is going towards induction these days.

I have also pre-ordered roses for my mom for Mother's Day from Costco and started buying for Father's Day.
