    I know for me, if my time was coming, I'd like to see familiar faces before I go. I don't think I'd be able to see them after.

      Definitely go see her now! Like you aid, you may not get another chance and you'll regret not doing it when you had the chance.

        By all means go and see her now. Make some good memories of her while she's still around. Funerals can be missed and you won't have missed much!

          I just went an saw my great grand father before he died last week, and I'm glad that I did.
          He was in hospital and not doing too well, but at least I was able to talk to him and I don't have a feeling of regret that I should have done it before he passed away.

            As everyone has said.... go now.

            DH just got back from visiting his Grandma. She's slowly going down and we agreed it was better for him to go now than later. Many years ago when his Grandfather was on his deathbed, we tried our best to rush him home to see him. At the time dh was serving overseas in the Persian Gulf. He missed him by a couple days. I didn't want to see this happen to him with his Grandma. They were the closest thing he had to real parents.

              Oh, terces, that is so sad about your husband's previous situation. I am happy for your husband that he go to visit his Grandma just now.
