I agree. I have only used the math ap and only because DH started it. I felt a little obligated to him, but I ignore the others.

I can't stand all the stupid little things people send back and forth - plants for your garden patch, fish for your cove, chocolates, etc. Grow up folks. We're not in elementary school.

I enjoy keeping in touch with people and I'm gradually exploring the games, but I've blocked the stupid stuff.

        * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

          +1
Those stupid applications slow everything down.

I have facebook and i do enjoy it. The apps don't bother me. I'd like to know where to find the math one actually! Most are harmless and cute. Some actually will do some good with donations. My favorite right now is the one that looks like buttons. I sent my daughter (also on facebook) the one that says "the ultimate embarressment, my mother is on facebook" I also have myspace and don't like it. Perhaps we need to start a savingadvice group on facebook!?

I understand that some of those things are charity based, like saving the rainforest or supporting St. Jude's Hospital, but I still find them very annoying. When I log on and I've got 4 or 5 different requests for these things, it is a total waste of time to click through them all. That's why I just decided to block them.

I think a savingadvice group is a neat idea. HOWEVER, keep in mind that if you do that, we stop being anonymous.

I created a group on facebook called savingadvice. I realize it will no longer be anonymous but that doesn't bother me. People don't have to join it if that is a problem. I don't know if anyone is interested in this but it is a way to spread the saving advice to another group and it is away for anyone who is interested to get to know each other in different ways.

There was only one member of the facebook group.

If you add yourself to a group, do those people see your profile?

You can set your privacy settings so that only your friends can see your profile.

eh, it's a step in a decent direction, but not quite.... I like how it's now designed to be on the "live feed" mode all the time (which is all I ever used anyway)... however, it seems that it doesn't actually post everything... just status changes mostly... photos/tags, notes, and stuff like that doesn't seem to be coming up.

What really bugs me is that they just won't leave it alone. I actually liked the previous format (much better than the original one), and for people in general, it's like once finally everyone has gotten used to this version, great, now they've changed it on us again, so it's gonna take another few months to get used to this one. Sooooo.... is their next major change gonna be this coming August or something? pfft...

It doesn't refresh in real-time and you're right, it doesn't show app activities anymore. It is essentially Twitter now and I hate it.

I don't like it either. I liked the ability to choose Live Feed, Status Updates, etc

I don't like how other people's postings to a friend's wall now show up on my page. Why do I care? And why does anyone else need to see my conversation with a friend? I went back and forth with one person a few times today. When my wife logged on, that whole conversation was on her home page.
