I want to see a game at Yankee Stadium. Not that I'm a huge baseball fan or anything, but it's the last season so I want to see it. My DH does too but the tickets are outrageously expensive.

What are people's experience with buying tickets at the last minute? Do you go to scalpers? Online?

Do you wait until the game has started and then pay less for tickets or more from a scalper? I've been looking at craigslist and ebay at tickets.

People on ebay are asking outrageous prices and auctions are expiring because they are trying to sell tickets that are face value $30 for $100. I guess it's too much. I mean the economy isn't booming and it's a luxury to see a baseball game.

Also scalpers on craigslist are asking a lot. And I haven't picked any tickets up yet.

But what should I do if I want to see a game? Any strategies?

If it's inappropriate to ask about scalpers, then please remove it.

My sister bought tickets on e-bay. I don't know what she paid but she is a big Yankees fan so I am sure she paid too much. Look on e-bay. The scalpers will be out for the last games but you will pay a lot.

I buy from scalpers before the event.

Wife felt wierd doing it, but it's not the first time I have done it and probably will not be the last. I was buying tix to see Aerosmith and Run DMC.

Jim, did you pay above face or about face value?
