So Thursday I felt ill during workday. So Friday my doctor told not to go to work...stay home and rest. Feeling the need to feel better, I decided to pay our car remaining balance of $2061.35 So I went online and completely PAID IT OFF last night. My title will be mailed and I should get it in about a week. I can finally take a deep breath now!!!!!
Logging in...

Congrats! And I hope you are feeling better too.
It's very nice not having car payments. We were payment free for years although right now, we owe about 8K on my wife's van but that'll be gone soon enough.Steve

We plan to add the freed up extra $$ towards building 6-months of EF/Savings lump into one. Our goal is $60k by the end of the year which may happen depending what market does. Currently our savings is $36k but we also use this account towards paying our property Tax, vacation trips, and car maintenance expenses. But we also looking to buy a bigger home in the future in a year or two.Originally posted by tomhole View PostCongrats! It's a great feeling to not be paying on a car loan. Even the 0% kind.
What's your plan for the newly freed up car payment? You could keep taking it out and put it into a new car fund.
Btw we won't be spending anymore towards purchasing a newer car. We hate the idea now of another car payment unless we can afford to pay cash for it. I know but I don't preach Dave Ramsey but I'm starting to listen and walk the walk.Got debt?
