  • Do you think the bank is sincere?

When they send you a letter congratulating you for paying off your car loan? I got 3 of them today. I know I'm happy.

I dont know if they are sincere. Do you have a small bank where you see them personally all the time? I do think it is in their best interest to be very pleasant, polite and make their customers feel special so one may come back for another loan etc. Most businesses want to foster a feeling of caring to keep clients.

I see a bank that was wasteful, not taking good care of their shareholder's interest. Did three different signors send the same 'boilerplate' letter or each send one of a series of letters on congratulations offering loans for other products? Did you know that Credit Unions often offer slightly better rates and even more important rebate back some of the interest you've paid on your loan? It's always worth checking with a minimum of 3 lenders before taking a loan. It's a bit of work can can be very beneficial to your bottom line.

The bank is happy it got its money back. They are giving you an "atta boy" for good customer relations. You paid the loan so they would be happy to lend to you again, and so the letters are a subtle reminder that "they are there for you." They are not insincere about any of that.

          Hi tomhole..

Congratulation on paid off your car payments. I remember your earlier post that you had 4 car payments and you were wondering how you go about them. I am very happy for you and I am sure everyone here is really happy as well! Great job!
