    I think most people probably have 2 or 3 items they use regularly. A 2-3 quart pot, an 8 inch pan, and a 12 inch pan are sufficient for most meals unless you have a bigger family.

    We actually just bought a new 8 inch pan the other day because the nonstick surface on ours was worn out.

    Do you have a favorite pot or pan?

    Do you find yourself going back to using the same pot or pan? I have a couple that I use over and over. One is a small Revere stainless pot that I've had over 20 years. It is just the right size for most things for the two of us. I hand wash it because I don't want the handle to be destroyed in the dishwasher.

    I have a couple of skillets that I use over and over. One is a smaller skillet for things like eggs or browning some chicken. I have a large cast iron skillet that I use for larger things such as stir fry or baking cornbread. My mom gave it to me for Christmas a number of years ago. It was used, but washing and reseasoning it and it works like a charm. I tease DH I could use it for weapon if he doesn't behave, but only if I could use two hands to life it!
