  • Money Making Idea: Become A Personal Shopper

A blogger I follow recently left her day job and was looking for a few ways to make money while she's on the job hunt.

She hit on an interesting idea: become a personal shopper for homebound seniors.

Basically what she did was respond to an advert in a local paper. She called and got hired.

The deal is her client is a housebound older man. Her weekly duties are doing the guy's grocery shopping and picking up to go meals at a local restaurant once a week. The job pays $35 per trip. She says each trip takes about an hour.

Now the thing is to see if she can find more clients who need help.

Tons of opportunity for that sort of work where I live. There is a large senior population here.

You could pick up endless odd jobs fixing and repairing things for elderly people, mowing their lawns, fixing their cars, cleaning and cooking for them, the list is endless.

A simple Craigslist ad would probably generate quite a bit of traction.

My neighbor is an elderly widow. I do things for her for free on occasion, but someone looking to make some money could probably have her as a steady client mowing her lawn, shopping for her, and cleaning her house.
