Does Anyone Actually Win Money or Prizes From Facebook?

Have you all seen those "repost this, comment, like" and you are entered to win a certain amount of money, a free cruise, new house?

Have you guys ever done any of that sharing? Any winners?

Most likely all scams or nonsense.

I never click on them, so I'm only assuming here.

I actually won a $500 Visa gift card last year from a place that gives out college loans. I saw it on twitter and you had to repost their post to 3 social media outlets. I put it on twitter, pintrest and instagram (i'm only on those sites to follow my kids no other friends) and they picked me!! I didn't believe it and called all kinds of people at their corporate office making sure it was legit. And it was. I couldn't believe it, but it was.

And the funny thing was I don't have a social media following on those sites, like I said I just check in every now and then to see what the kids are up to, so they didn't get a lot of free advertising from me.

I won free merchandise by reposting on twitter a few years ago. I also won a $100 gift card through Facebook. I only participate in social media sweepstakes if it's associated with a major company that I frequent.

I think this is pretty awesome! I've always pretty much assumed they were scams as well but if people are ACTUALLY winning stuff I might give it a try (can't win if you don't enter, right?).

My partner once won a local competition - however it was a small city centered company. Not sure about the larger ones however I would assume it's against facebook policy to host a competition without having a actual prize giveaway
