Okay, so, I've had Google Opinion Rewards on my Iphone for about six months now, and I've accumulated enough experience with the app to have a viewpoint on it.
Per their website, Google Opinion Rewards is basically Google's "get paid to take surveys" app. It's essentially a market research tool that lets brands or researchers create online surveys, which users complete in the Opinion Rewards app. Google then aggregates the responses and then sends them back to the brand/researchers.
How it works is: you download the app onto your iPhone or Android, and every few days you get a survey to complete. The setup is super simple, you just pretty much need a google account and a Paypal address. It takes about a minute or so to set up. Then, depending on your shopping patterns and other activity, you'll get asked some very short 3 to 5 question surveys. Each survey pays between 35 and 50 cents. Once your balance in the app gets to $2.00, Google automatically sends the money to your Paypal account.
I've made maybe 12 bucks over the past few months. So - it is not a huge amount of money, but the amount of effort required has also been super minimal. There are also next to no hassles with using the app or getting paid. It's all pretty seamless and automatic.
