  • Work at the Psychic Hotline

Another way to make some money one the side - work as an online psychic.

Its basically a mental health job, you'll probably make around $20 bucks an hour.

I don't think I could work for a company that is scamming people.

It's not exactly a scam as much as it is an act. If the people calling in think of it more as entertainment, I suppose that's okay. It's not something that just anyone could do, though. It definitely requires some good performance skills as it is an acting job fundamentally. I wonder how they audition people to take those calls. You need to have a good script and patter and delivery worked out or else nobody is going to want to talk to you.

BJ...I think they are basically mental health jobs. Right people call up pretty much because they have a problem they want to talk about.

I'm not sure. Maybe, but if they are helping people with mental health issues, then they shouldn't be advertising and marketing themselves as psychics.

A psychic is someone that can supposedly see the future and talk to your dead relatives. That is quite different from a mental health worker.

I agree. It isn't a mental health service at all. I'm not sure why you would think that, James.

I have had friends and coworkers who have gone to psychics in the past. They do it for fun. None of them truly believe that these people can actually see the future. They just do it as a girls night out kind of thing. It's a form of entertainment, no different than going to a movie or show or club.

I hope that people with actual mental health issues aren't wasting their money calling "psychics" when there are numerous telephone and online resources they could use for free where they would actually reach a trained individual.

I wouldn't touch it. You are playing with stuff you don't understand.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you're stupid and make bad choices.
