i doordashed for the first time today, my wife got tired of working a 10 hour shift at a thai restuaraunt so we decided to try doordash. we made 4 deliveries in 3.7 hours but didnt get a delivery for the first hour, she got $19.86 in tips and $24 for the deliveries, worked out to $16.24/hr, a slight upgrade from her $12/hr grind. she really liked it and is very excited

A word of caution: If using your personal vehicle, please check your insurance policy carefully! My most recent statement from my auto insurance provider included a special notice that they are not providing coverage for delivery usage of vehicles.
To not be entirely a "Debbie Downer" --- If this is something she continues doing, she may be able to set up a SEP IRA if this is being reported as self-employment income.
