So I would not excourage you to do this if you are trying to make a living, but I have been doing tasks on mturk.com during downtime at work (usually in like 15 minute segments) and have made like $14 the past few weeks, which just goes straight to my amazon account and helps us pay for diapers. Check it out if you're bored!

Mechanical Turk pays such little amounts that it's only worth your time as a hobby. If you're serious about making money you need to find something else. It's something to do when you have spare time and you'd otherwise be watching TV or goofing off on the computer. It's really not a way to make a living, or even a second stream of income.
